Due to high cost of offshore project and high risk of offshore hoisting, fabricator need measure actual weight of the module prior to loding to barge. The weight and the center of gravity will be measured and calculated to meet requirements. Therefore, HICO develops intelligent offshore module weighing system which is accredited by national metrology department and can provide at-site services to all customers.
The module weighing device can jack the module via hydraulic jack, and automatically remote control quantitative displacement of every jacking point t via by computer system. The weight and the center of gravity can be calculated automatically as per the force applied point and displacement, meanwhile generate the final report automatically. The weighing device is capable of providing weighing service with the ability up to 2800 metric ton for single module.
